matharvest For his second 2hr outing of 2022, HAKIMONU assembles a collection of decade- & culture-crossing cuts that explore Middle Eastern & Mediterranean strains of folk, downtempo & dance music with a variety of session musicians that wouldn't sit out of place on Seigen Ono's record label Saidera or on Pachanga Boy's Hippie Dance label. It's great to see HAKIMONU re-exploring the sound-worlds of Recomposed Jazz Session and All You Need Empty again, after so many years. Favorite track: Weird Things In The City.

about

Big Smile is the longest and most elaborate album I've released,
It consists of 24 tracks that are actually mostly songs, specific music compositions Or juggling works of radically diverse
editing created over 15 years.

Each piece came from a different period of mine
in the field of music production.
Multiple collaborations, with musicians already included
in several of my works.
Anyone who knows the catalog well will know those participants.

Different musical cultures are hosted on this album,
And I give them the freedom to dress up for any intriguing incident in order to reveal an interesting moment,
dramatic to bizarre, Heroic to ironic, amusing to tragic, annoying to exciting in a completely refined way.
The rhythm exists almost every moment in the album, rich in melodies.

The album is colorful in the most unusual way I may ever release (maybe),
Sometimes it challenges our sense of hearing and sometimes it moves the heart and feeling.
Can shake but definitely deepen our human connection to a colorful, authentic and creative creation.

Expect a lot of cheeky and sweet, romantic and distant, weird and familiar avant-garde jazz.
Meet traditional styles from France, through Egypt, Argentina and India.
Africa is on every corner of the album, including North and South America.
The attempt was to develop, disperse, distance and assemble wealth like a king,
So that you can get an impression of a kingdom of tracks that lives & animate in an album whose essence is the joy of the heart.

When you listen to the album in its entirety,
you will be exposed to a map of invented and solid soundtracks that can accompany
A wide presentation of excerpts from situations from movies
or completely colorful-meaningful moments in our lives.

The huge variety of styles that are blended and executed from the approach of electronic production
They created a unique rug and the general multiplicity produces and explains the name of the album.
